The Path to Reconnection

My Story

My journey into yoga began at 15, during a season when life seemed to change overnight.

A dream of gymnastics came to an unexpected end when I broke my neck in a tumbling accident. As I was navigating the physical and emotional aftermath of that injury, I was also diagnosed with the same autoimmune illness that had contributed to the loss of my father. At an age when I was just beginning to imagine who I would become, I suddenly found myself learning how to rebuild.

Thankfully, my father left me more than memories. In a way I still can’t fully explain, his influence led me to Syl Carson, the owner of Bodhi Yoga, who introduced me to a slower, more restorative approach to yoga.

What began as rehabilitation for my neck became so much more.

Yoga gave me a way to work with my body rather than against it. The slower practices became a source of strength, restoration, and connection during a time when I desperately needed all three. What I first discovered as a teenager has stayed with me for the past 13 years, continuing to shape the way I understand the body, breath, stillness, and healing.

Today, my work is an extension of that first experience.

Through Yin Yoga, Yoga Nidra, breathwork, sound, restorative practices, and principles inspired by Traditional Chinese Medicine, I create intentional spaces for people to slow down, reconnect with themselves, and experience what can happen when we finally give the body permission to soften.

I don’t believe my story happened without purpose. I believe I was given something that helped me find my way through one of the hardest seasons of my life—and now I feel called to share that gift with others.

This work is my way of paying it forward. My way of honoring the people who helped me when I needed it most. And, ultimately, my way of saying thank you to God for carrying me through a life I never could have navigated on my own.

For every person who steps into one of these experiences, my hope is simple: that you leave feeling a little more grounded, a little more connected, and a little more at home in yourself.
